Sending Emails to Students and Guardians
How to compose and send email communication to all students (or a larger sample).
Last updated 29 May 2026
The Communication module lets you send emails directly from Lime Sportadmin to your students and guardians. All emails are sent from your club's registered email address and include your club's branding. The purpose of this module is to send rich text emails to an audience. If you want to send a simple email to a specific class, use the email tool on the class page instead.
Compose a new email
- Go to Communication
- Click + New e-mail
- Fill in the e-mail form (see below)
- Click Send now or save as a draft
The e-mail form
Subject line The email subject as it appears in the recipient's inbox.
Sender Your club's email address (e.g. info@swimclub.nl) is default. You can also choose your administrator email or another sender.
Recipients Select who should receive the email. Recipients are organised by class:
- Select all: sends the email to all students that are in a class
- Click the arrow next to any class to expand it and see individual students
- Select entire classes (all students in that class) or individual students
- The counter at the top shows how many members and email addresses are included
Important: The email always goes to all email addresses associated to the student.
Create content Build the email body using content blocks:
- + Title — adds a heading
- + Subtitle — adds a subheading
- + Body text — adds a paragraph of text
- + Picture — adds an image
You must add at least one body text block before the email can be sent.
Previewing the email
The preview panel on the right side of the form shows a live preview of how the email will look, including your club's logo and the footer.
Sending options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Send now | Immediately sends the email to all selected recipients |
| Handle draft → Save as draft | Saves the email without sending, so you can finish it later |
Viewing sent emails
Previously sent emails appear in the Emails list under Communication, showing the subject, sender, number of recipients, send date and time, and status. Draft emails also appear here with "Draft" status.
